National Council Reconstitution - February 2020 Update

The BMC Independent Organisational Review made the following recommendation:

Recommendation number 33: 
National Council should be restructured and become the Members’ Assembly and its role redefined.

The R33 (National Council Reconstitution) working group was formed at the end of 2018. 

The group has been meeting once a week since September 2019 to establish what needs to done in order for the Members’ Council to function effectively, then to implement the necessary changes required.  Throughout this process, the group has sought to involve the rest of National Council as well as all other interested parties, by means of briefings, workshops and webinars, so that a good consensus is reached.  As a result, the R33 working group is making good progress towards creating the necessary framework for the Members’ Council to function effectively ahead of 14 June 2020.
